Discover the Secrets Behind the Walls
Our association organises six guided tours each summer (from July to October).

Limited to 40 participants, each tour costs €8 for adults – free for children and members of the association.
Our volunteer guides and coordinators do everything they can to offer you a memorable experience!
These tours are a unique opportunity to explore the Ramparts from a different angle and uncover a few hidden secrets. Each visit lasts between 2½ and 3 hours. The meeting point and time may vary depending on the type of tour. Please refer to the list below for full details.We look forward to welcoming you on one of our guided visits!
Please note: all guided tours are conducted in French only.

Sunday, 6 July 2025 – Morning – Guided Tour of the Ramparts

Step into over a thousand years of history. Let yourself be surprised as you pass through doors usually closed to the public.
The tour departs promptly at 9:00 a.m. from the car park below Avenue de la République, beneath the bastion.
It lasts approximately three hours.

Sunday, 20 July 2025 – Morning – Guided Tour of the Ramparts

Step into over a thousand years of history. Let yourself be surprised as you pass through the doors of places usually closed to the public.
The tour begins promptly at 9:00 am from the car park located below Avenue de la République, beneath the bastion.
The visit lasts approximately three hours.

Saturday, 23 August – Evening Guided Tour of the Ramparts

Step into over a thousand years of history and discover hidden places usually closed to the public.
The tour departs promptly at 6:30 p.m. from the car park below Avenue de la République, just beneath the bastion.
Bring along your picnic — it will take place atop the impressive “Grosse Tour Marie de Bourgogne” from around 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.
The visit concludes between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m.

Sunday 14 September 2025 – Afternoon – Trees On and Around the Ramparts

Sunday 14 September – A new tour of the Beaune ramparts, with a unique perspective.
Until the 17th century, trees were strictly forbidden on or near the ramparts — they could have provided cover, shelter, or even a vantage point for potential attackers.
This guided walk explores the evolution of greenery around the fortifications and what it tells us about the city’s history.
Meet at the car park below Avenue de la République, beneath the bastion, at exactly 2:30 pm.
The visit lasts approximately 3 hours.

Sunday 5 October 2025 – Morning 10:30 am – Performance Tour

1452. Beaune and its ramparts are full of mysteries… a crime has been committed! On the orders of Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, the Provost leads the investigation. What crime has taken place? Who are the suspects? Who is this Provost?
The audience will become part of the investigation, helping to solve the mystery by gathering clues and uncovering the truth…
