These tours are a unique opportunity to explore the Ramparts from a different angle and uncover a few hidden secrets. Each visit lasts between 2½ and 3 hours. Please bring your own picnic, which will take place on the Grosse Tour Marie de Bourgogne from around 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
The tour will end between 10.00 pm and 10.30 pm.

Sunday 4 October 2026 – Afternoon – guided tour of the ramparts
When the ramparts cross swords!
For this final visit of the year, the Ramparts of Beaune take on an air of theatre and adventure. Along the route, historical explanations will be interspersed with acted scenes and rapier duels performed by the Théâtre Fer-Play.
The King’s Musketeers, Cardinal Richelieu’s guards, Beaune defenders and Mandrin’s bandits will all bring the history of the site to life, in a lively and spectacular visit combining heritage, theatre and fencing.
